Laura Nash hosts the Zero Waste Countdown Podcast. She is an ex-pro athlete and naval officer, who is passionate about increasing public awareness of waste and its impact on the earth. Her mission is to "find out how we can live sustainably and still keep our standard of living high." Laura is a proponent of reducing plastic waste, wherever possible, and increasing awareness of composting in the home, to reduce methane produced by landfill waste.

The Zero Waste Countdown Podcast has covered a wide variety of topics - from businesses that are doing the right thing, to activists and experts. Some notable segments include an interview with the Strumbellas on sustainability on the road as a touring band as well as interviewing the Honorable Catherine McKenna, Canada's Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, then Canada's first Minister of the Environment and Climate Change.
